Summit International supports #STOPTHEPLASTICTIDE appeal with new MYBENTO pure glass bottle initiative

 

Summit International, the official distributor of MyBento sustainable and environmentally friendly drink bottles, has announced it will be supporting the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) in connection with its new MyBento Pure glass bottle range.

For each MyBento Pure glass bottle sold in the UK, Summit International will donate 50p (or £1 for the premium bottle) to MCS in support of their #StopthePlasticTide appeal. The appeal aims to reduce plastic litter choking, starving and poisoning marine life.

The new premium bottle is being launched to the UK & European retail trade in July 2018. This durable, transparent bottle is made from high quality borosilicate glass, which resists heat, harsh chemicals and corrosion, ensuring that they stay looking stylish, even after continuous use.   Borosilicate glass is resistant to thermal shock, which enables the bottle to be filled with hot or iced drinks without shattering.

MyBento Pure glass bottles are BPA-free – they do not contain the toxic chemicals found in plastics, which can leach in to liquids and cause harm to yourself and the environment – which makes them safe to use, time and time again.  Users can save money and the earth’s resources by investing in an economical, reusable and recyclable glass bottle.

The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) is the leading UK charity for the marine environment, which has surveyed and cleaned UK beaches for twenty-five years to show the massive problem of marine litter. They have found plastic bottles - many of them likely to be used just once - as one of the top twenty items found on beaches.
